Gratefulness Journal

I thought that I would wait until the last blog to thank everyone that has helped me through this journey, but there are so many things that people have helped me with or gave me that I don't want to forget one thing. So I thought that I would start early.

First and foremost, I would like to thank Summit Credit Union and their staff for having this contest and picking our family to be a part of it.

I would also like to thank my coach, Mary Johnson for giving me dreams that I have never dreamed before. Because of Mary and her connections, I have met a mortgage person and a retirement planner, both with amazing information for my and Dylan's future.

Next, I would like to thank my friends at work for their support. Especially, my boss, Alice for letting me tape her great money saving ideas and for the material for my chairs. I would like to thank Dona for her egg salad sandwiches, her Bucky Book coupons, letting me tape her money saving ideas, and for her words of wisdom. They keep me positive. Thank you to my friend Angie for her listening ears and her friendship and encouragement. She gives me positive feedback on all of my blogs.

Thanks to Sandy for her cheese and tomato juice and to her and Darren for helping me recover my chairs. Thanks to Duane & Alice S. for offering their garage for a garage sale. Thanks to my other co-workers Sharon, Stacy, Sue S., Lindsey and Bill W. for being my facebook friends and all of their encouragement and interest in Project Money. Thanks to Gretchen for all of the mini cookbooks and plum chutney. It was great!

I would like to thank my fellow Steven Minister's at Bethel for their support. Especially, Mike for the email picture of him with his arm around me and Dylan. And my beautiful care receiver for her love and support of Project Money Penny.

I would like to thank my amazing volunteers that work with me at the bank every Monday morning. I couldn't do it without you guys! Becky, Ruth, Lila, Jan, Shirley, Kris, Owen and Harley. My extra volunteers that show up the day after Christmas and Easter, Lu, Ed and Sandy. And the ones that we lost to heaven, Chuck, Jessie, Vera, Evelyn and Orpha. We miss you all so much!

My envelope sorters and filers, Ardell and Gordon. Thank You!

I thank all of my Messiah Church friends that always mention that they see me on TV and bring me the fliers from their bank statements. And tell me where all of our cardboard cutouts are. Thanks!
I would like to thank my great family too. First, to Dylan for not asking me for everything in every store that we go into. I hope it continues in the future. And for trying all of the strange things that I cook on a budget of $300.

Thanks to my ex-husband for helping to provide for Dylan!

To my daughters, Michelle and Katie, I love you both, please be good girls! To my grandchildren, Lili, Jakey and Jayden, I love you more and more each day.

Thanks to my brother, Jeremy for reading my blogs and meeting me at Culvers last Friday night so we could remember how much fun we used to have when we met the rest of our family there a lifetime ago.

Thanks to my sister-in-laws, Pam and Jonna who always amaze me with their strength!

And to my daughter Sarah, my rock! Thanks for your understanding that I need receipts and for stepping up to the plate with your car insurance. Thanks for listening to my tears and building me back up when I get discouraged. I love you!

This journey has made me realize just how grateful I am to have people in my life that really care. I am so very lucky. Thanks for all being part of TEAM DUANE!
