A Wonderful Gift

‘Tis the season for New Year’s resolutions. 2010 is going to be hard to beat. How do you top completely cleaning up your finances and eliminating over $20,000 in debt? I keep joking that in 2011 we need to find a contest for personal health and fitness, and in 2012 one for parenting, and then we will be all set!

All joking aside, Summit Credit Union has helped to make 2010 an incredible year for us.  We achieved things we hadn’t even conceived of a year ago. With Scott’s help and encouragement, we have built a strong foundation for ongoing success. We know we can keep our budget going and continue making smart financial decisions. Our New Year’s resolution is to continue to review our finances on a monthly basis to make sure that we are on track and don’t slip into old habits. Summit has given us a wonderful gift. It’s now our responsibility to make the most of it, and our privilege to carry it forward. Summit’s mission of building relationships and investing in their community is one we hope to emulate after the end of Project Money, whether it’s by providing encouragement to others, or by supporting local charities and causes.

To our fellow competitors, it was our honor to meet you and compete alongside you. We’re so very thankful for all of the support we have received from family, friends and even strangers during our journey. Your help and advice made the past six months fun and memorable. We extend our gratitude to you, to Scott and to Summit, and wish you all a very happy New Year.
