Getting Crazy

Things are getting crazy around the Robertson house hold! We have TONS going on!

The first is getting ready for our final meeting with Jenna during Project Money. WHAT!?!? Can you believe it? Sometimes we feel like we’ve have made huge changes in our spending, saving and overall view on money and other times we feel like we are crawling along to meet our goals. Some things we are doing feel like second nature and others are still a struggle most days. We have a lot of concerns about ‘Going It Alone’ after P.M. is over. They hyper-super accountability has really made us work hard and behave. I hope we can keep it up after December 31^st! So, we will round up our bills, paystubs, receipts, goals and check list the last (official) time next week.

We are both trying to find ways to make some extra income this last month! Everyone is trying to save during the holidays but we are trying to eek every little bit out and hope it will help us win the $10,000 prize! I (Sheila) have been gearing up for the busy season for my improv group. We have had some really exciting and new projects come our way – hopefully we can bring some Holiday Funny while making a little bit of Holiday Money.

Finally, Max’s 5^th Birthday is right around the corner on December 17^th. We are going to have a ‘Rock Star’ birthday party for him. One very exciting thing for us has been setting aside some Birthday and Holiday Funds. This is the FIRST time we have gone into the season with money designated for gifts, party décor and fun. It felt so GREAT going into the party store to pick up a few special items and know that they fit right into our budget and it was OK to spend that money to make the day really special for our Little Guy.

Wish us luck – we still can use it! We are now focusing on keeping within the budget that we set up. Not an easy task – but hopefully we’ll get creative and get us through to the New Year on plan.

Then on January first we can go back to our habits, old ways, go on a huge spending splurge  – once the Project Money is over.  (Hee Hee – Just kidding. I was just checking to see if anyone read to the end of the blog….)
