Well, we are half way through Project Money. Things seem to be going pretty well. We have about a thousand dollars left to save before we start paying off debt. Hopefully it won't take too long to get there. One way we have been able to save at the rate we have is making extra money. I have done several side landscaping jobs and Sheila has done some massages for cash and done extra remote shows for Monkey Business. The down side to this is that we are EXHAUSTED! I work over 50 hours a week at my regular job and then I worked an additional 20 hours in a weekend to do a landscaping side job.
Last weekend I spent over 25 hours roofing our house. Exhausting, but saved us $5,000 by doing it myself. Sheila recently had to start working 10 more hours a week at her daytime job and is also trying to fit in massages and improv shows. When we get home at night we are both too tired to enjoy family time. Sheila is frustrated that the house work is falling behind and she doesn't get to spend as much time with Max. I also have to give up time with Max when I am working on weekends. Budgeting, blogging, shooting videos is becoming more of a task than it was the first three months as our lives get busier and busier. It's not easy but I still think it is worth it. We will keep on trucking through the tougher times as I know the sacrifices we make now will pay out ten fold in the future. We have a direction we are heading that will give us more time and money for the thing that matters most---FAMILY!
Keep it up, you're doing great!
