Party Time!

Well, the Christmas season is fully upon us. On Saturday, I had two large Christmas parties, with one of them being at my house. This, of course, was stressful for me. Not in the sense of having people over and having a good time, but the budget weighed on me heavily. I’m an Events Planner and I love having people over, but I don’t typically do that because of financial reasons. 

After thinking about this, I realized this really didn’t have to be a big deal. We were having a very late lunch at my aunt’s, so I realized that by the time people arrived at my home, they weren’t going to be overly hungry, thus I would stick to a few appetizers. I then reached out to my mother, sister and boyfriend and asked them to each bring an item or two. 

I still spent quite a bit of money, but not nearly as much as I could’ve had I not asked for assistance from my family.

Christmas turned out beautifully and we all had a great time playing games with the kids, opening gifts and just being able to spend quality time with my family.
