Trick or Treat!
It’s the day after Halloween and what a fun weekend it was. Friends and I went out and bought some pumpkins that we carved this weekend. Not only did we end up with tons of fun pumpkins, in all different shapes, sizes and designs, but we saved all the seeds for roasting.
If you’ve never saved seeds it was quite the adventure. One that everyone should try at least once. Like carving, it was a slow process that took a lot of time and patience, but the pay off was huge. We sifted one by one through all the gook and pulled each and every seed out. With nine pumpkins you can just imagine how long it took us to complete this process or the amount of seeds we were left with. Did I mention we started the process at 10:30 pm. Needless to say, we didn’t get a whole lot of sleep that evening, but it was well worth it. Great friends, beautiful pumpkins and a fun snack.
All in all we carved out nine pumpkins between the four of us. It was a very ambitious move, but the results were well worth it.

Got a recipe for you for the pumpkin seeds - Toss them in garlic salt and put in over at 350 degrees for one hour tossing them preiodically so they don't burn. When they turn brown, take them out. (You can also use a variety of seasonings, like steak rub, etc.)
