In his spare time: Officiating high school and college basketball, biking, yard work

First paying job: A paper route when he was in 6th grade.

Quirkiest habit: He reads the newspaper in the same order everyday – entertainment, news, then sports.

Best financial tip: Don’t try to keep up with the “Joneses.”

What he’d do with $10K: Put $8K toward paying off car and mortgage; put $1K to his family vacation fund; provide $1,000 to a charity to pay it forward.
